AGUAbout AGU

The Ohio Wesleyan University program at AGU's year begins in April and end March. As an exchange student, you have a choice of starting from the Spring (April to August) or Fall Semester (Septemeber - March). Field Trips and Cultural activities offer many many opportunities to experience everything Japan has to offer as well as mingling with local and international students. 

Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) offers you an amazing environment and numerous opportunities for you to grow. You will meet students from one of the leading private universities in Japan and international students from over 35 countries. All these experiences and interactions will give you the best chances to succeed and become an engaging global citizen. 

What to Expect 

Academics
AGU offers Japanese language classes for all levels. The placement test you take at the beginning puts you into one of the seven levels most suited for you. With courses five-days a week you not only learn grammar and reading but also learn about life in Japan which will enhance your comprehensive understanding of the language. 

AGU's strength lies in its multidisciplinary education across humanities, social sciences, and science. There are many undergraduate courses offered in English as well, from Japanese journalism to business management with little restrictions to choose.

With our Aoyama Campus located at one of the hubs of Tokyo in Shibuya, AGU offers the unique experience of the classical urban campus built in 19th century with quiet, green park-like space in the middle of a vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Tokyo. Just a few steps away, you can immerse yourself with internationally-renowned pop culture in Japan at Harajuku and Omotesando..

Cutting edge research can be done with state of the art equipment. Our professionally sized fields here have helped produce some great professional players.
