FIE/Amideast in Jordan - Conflict and the Struggle for Peace: Explorations in Ireland and the Middle East

Overview:

While exploring the process of peace and conflict resolution and the sensitive cultural and societal roots of conflict, students spend a total of five weeks of the summer in Dublin and Amman. Organized by the Foundation for International Education (FIE) in cooperation with Amideast, students are exposed to the theory and practice of peacekeeping, peace-making, peace-building, and conflict resolution in Europe and the Middle East. Students also have the option to stay in Amman for an extra 4-weeks to learn Arabic.
